Light Intensity

To ensure the accurate measurement of light intensity in units of lux, which is critical for tasks such as ensuring proper workplace lighting, environmental testing, and regulatory compliance. CS Lab Limited provides Light Intensity (Lux) Calibration services to ensure accurate and reliable measurements of light levels in various applications. Lux sensors, or light meters, are used to measure illuminance, which is the amount of light that falls on a specific area. This calibration is essential for applications such as lighting design, environmental monitoring, safety compliance, and industrial processes where proper lighting is crucial. The calibration of Lux sensors typically involves comparing the sensor's reading with a known reference standard under controlled conditions.

The Lux meter or light sensor is first verified by comparing its readings with those from a certified light source or reference standard. CS Lab uses calibrated reference light sources (up to 16000 lux) that emit a known intensity of light at specific wavelengths and conditions.

The calibration process typically involves a high-precision calibrated light source, such as a calibrated illuminator, which produces a consistent and known amount of light at a specific distance and angle. Reference Lux standards, often traceable to national or international standards (such as NIST), are used to ensure the accuracy of the readings.

The sensor under test is exposed to light from the reference standard, and readings are taken at various light levels (e.g., low light, standard office lighting, high-intensity lighting). The sensor's output is compared to the reference values. If there are discrepancies, adjustments are made to bring the readings in line with the reference standards.

After successful calibration, CS Lab provides a calibration certificate, including details of the calibration process, the reference standards used, the sensor's original readings, the final calibrated values, and any adjustments made.

CS Lab uses highly accurate, traceable reference standards that ensure the reliability of the calibration process. CS Lab offers flexibility in calibration options. Calibrating Lux meters ensures that the readings are accurate and reliable, helping users make precise lighting decisions.
